Compensation, geographic service area, availability, services offered, homeowner needs, and other factors may affect which professional receives or responds to a referral.
Consumers are not charged by Backup Ready merely for submitting a request for backup power information unless expressly disclosed otherwise.
3. Independent Local Professionals
Professionals receiving referrals through Backup Ready are independent businesses.
They are not employees, agents, partners, joint venturers, franchisees, or representatives of Backup Ready.
Backup Ready does not control:
How a professional performs its work
The products or brands a professional recommends
Pricing or financing offered by a professional
Installation methods
Scheduling
Permitting
Design
Equipment availability
Warranties
Customer service
Contractor performance
Any agreement for products or services is entered into directly between you and the independent professional.
Backup Ready is not a party to that agreement.
4. Professional Qualifications
Backup Ready intends to refer homeowners only to professionals that hold applicable contractor licenses at the time they are accepted into the Backup Ready referral network.
Backup Ready may verify licensing status when a professional is initially accepted into the referral network. However, licensing, insurance, bonding, and other credentials can expire, lapse, be suspended, revoked, or otherwise change after that verification.
Backup Ready does not guarantee that a professional's license, insurance, bonding, or other credentials remain current after initial verification.
Homeowners should independently verify the current licensing, insurance, and other credentials of any professional before entering into a contract or allowing work to begin.
Backup Ready does not guarantee a professional's workmanship, experience, financial condition, regulatory compliance, or performance.
5. No Manufacturer or Brand Endorsement
Backup Ready is intended to remain brand-agnostic.
References to batteries, generators, electrical equipment, backup power technologies, manufacturers, products, or categories of equipment are provided for informational purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Backup Ready does not endorse, represent, certify, recommend, or warrant any particular:

The appropriate solution for a particular property depends on many factors that must be evaluated by an appropriate professional.

Information concerning prices, incentives, technologies, product availability, regulations, rebates, warranties, or financing may change at any time.
8. Requests and Information You Submit
When submitting information through Backup Ready, you agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Purchase or decision timing

When you submit a request to be connected with a local professional, you authorize Backup Ready to use the information you provide to facilitate that request.
Backup Ready may provide relevant information to a participating local professional that may be able to respond to your inquiry.
Where disclosed at the time of submission, information may be provided to more than one professional.
Backup Ready may receive compensation in connection with these referrals.

10. Calls, Emails, and Text Messages

Backup Ready may occasionally provide general information about utility programs, tax incentives, rebates, financing programs, or government policies.
Such programs may change, expire, be modified, have eligibility requirements, or vary by location.

Backup Ready may choose to assist with communication but has no obligation to mediate, arbitrate, resolve, reimburse, or otherwise assume responsibility for disputes between consumers and professionals.
21. Changes to the Services
Backup Ready may modify, suspend, discontinue, or change any portion of the Services at any time.
We may add or remove service areas, professionals, technologies, content, features, or referral programs.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
23. Severability
